Racism

I wish people who are racist would just own it. Wear a shirt or hat or just greet you with a declaration of “Hi! I’m Chad and I am a racist “. That way everyone would understand the rules and be observant of the playing field.

It is so frustrating and confusing to navigate through a complicated maze of camouflaged communication to arrive at a roadblock of racism. Just own it. Buy the damn T-shirt so we don’t hold out hope for your human decency.

People who embrace racism and hide it confuse me. If you believe in Jesus you own it. If you believe in philanthropic giving you wear it proudly . As a proud community supporter of the arts you talk about it and accept the attention.

Why is racism different? Why do people whisper and sneak around? Are you not confident and proud? Perhaps deep in your soul you know it’s wrong.

Why waste energy hiding it.
