I saw them sitting in the grass
Talking together
Laughing easily…..
They were building the barn
Engrossed in their chore
Steady hands working together
The tractor was off to the side
Turning the earth back
The rich dark soil was shining
Cows grazed in the pasture
Walking easily while chewing the grass
I saw the seed beds covered
Protecting the life of tomorrow
It all seemed so natural to witness
So very real and genuine
